Aperio Consulting
Technology Strategy
The following brief project descriptions are representative of the experience that Aperio Consulting brings to top organizations. Our consultants have hands-on experience solving the hardest business problems.
Pinnacle Enterprises – ERP Software Selection
Pinnacle is a newly formed organization focused on
building a retail sales and distribution network to
support the agricultural industry. The growth of the
company required evaluation of commercial off the shelf
(COTS) packages to determine their suitability to the
company goals and requirements for core ERP capabilities
to support finance, HR, sales, and distribution functions.
Samsonite Corporation – International Financial and ERP System Mapping
In preparation for a world-wide ERP selection process,
examined international financial and ERP systems (e.g, JD
Edwards, Infinium, Island Pacific) and interfaces to other
applications (e.g., retail point-of-sale, HR, payroll,
etc.). Worked closely with project, technology, and senior
management of this retail sales, wholesale sales, and
luggage manufacturing company to assess, document,
monitor, and report on compliance with IT best practices.
Used an integrated approach to review all business process
areas and make recommendations for business and technical
improvements.
Pharmion Corporation – Sarbanes-Oxley Readiness
Used COBIT and COSO guidelines to advise, document, and
test IT controls for this global pharmaceutical company
and allow them to assert the financial controls
effectiveness to their auditors in advance of
Sarbanes-Oxley deadlines. Assessed information technology
risk and provided guidance on IT resource management,
security management, and use of JD Edwards financials.
United Agri Products – Sarbanes-Oxley Readiness
Evaluated IT environment including financial, ERP and
Supply Chain systems (PeopleSoft, BPCS, Eclipse) for this
agricultural product company that manufactures and
distributes crop production products, ranging from seeds
to fertilizers to pest and weed killers. Documented,
advised, and recommended changes to IT practices including
implementation of new Sarbanes-Oxley financial controls
after spin-off from ConAgra and 2004 public offering.
